A global distribution company supplying the Aerospace industry are looking to recruit an Inspection Supervisor to manage the priorities of the Inspection Department. Reporting to the Quality Manager you will ensure that products coming into the business are inspected and that compliance to customer and third-party requirements are met. Duties:
7. Supervise the day to day running of the Inspection Department providing guidance and support to Inspectors
8. Working with relevant departments to manage department priorities
9. Manage, review and action Inspection Queries, Shelf Life Inventory, Product Non Conformities and Supplier Returns
10. Support Continuous Improvement activities identifying ways to improve the processes
11. Perform dimensional, visual and documentation inspection on incoming parts and outgoing products
12. Document and review Inspection results and outcomes
13. Create, Manage and Review FAIRs in accordance with AS9102
14. Participate in Root Cause Failure Mode investigations
15. Document product quality issues / concerns
16. Determine and oversee inspection standards for incoming goods
Experience Required:
17. Must have strong people management skills
18. A knowledge of aerospace regulations, AS9102 and ISO 2859-1 preferable
19. Knowledge of Problem Solving Techniques and Tools
20. Ability to read and understand technical data including drawings and specifications, etc
21. Prior experience of using measuring equipment such as micrometres, verniers, etc.
22. Technical engineering apprenticeship would be preferable
23. Must be computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Outlook, Word, MS Office.
24. Numeracy and literacy skills
25. Previous experience of working within an Inspection / Quality Role would be beneficial
