Social Media Lead Nationwide (HYBRID) Lookers is seeking a talented Social Media Lead to join our marketing team. The Social Media Lead is responsible for developing and executing a high-impact social media strategy that enhances brand awareness, engagement, and conversion. They oversee content direction, manage campaigns, analyse performance data, and collaborate with internal and external teams to drive innovation and growth. Acting as a key stakeholder in digital marketing team, they ensure social media efforts align with business objectives and audience expectations. Their purpose is to drive the overall social media strategy, ensure alignment with business goals, and oversee execution across platforms. The Social Media Lead takes ownership of strategy, performance analysis, and team leadership. n. 1. Strategy & Planning Develop a social media strategy that positions the brand as a leader in the automotive space. Align content with key industry events, vehicle launches, and brand milestones. Stay ahead of trends in EVs, off-road, performance vehicles, and customisation to engage the right audience. 2. Content & Campaign Management Oversee the creation of engaging automotive content, including car showcases, behind-the-scenes footage, customer testimonials, and technical deep dives. Plan and execute launch campaigns for new models, aftermarket products, or customisation kits. Utilise video, reels, and live content to engage car enthusiasts and potential buyers. Work with designers, copywriters, and video teams to ensure a strong brand voice and visual identity. Plan and execute paid and organic campaigns to drive reach, engagement, and conversions for Group Pages. Work with digital content team to oversee production of content for brand pages. Oversea site content - provide training and support for local site champions, audit content, and share best practice to ensure compliance. Optimise content and campaigns based on analytics and audience insights 3. Community Engagement & Brand Advocacy Build relationships with automotive influencers, journalists, and content creators. Engage with enthusiast communities, forums, and car clubs to boost organic reach. Manage user-generated content, customer stories, and dealership collaborations. Manage crisis communication and reputation management in collaboration with internal teams if necessary. 4. Performance Analysis & Optimisation Track engagement metrics like shares, saves, and video completion rates, which are crucial in the auto industry. Monitor sentiment analysis to gauge brand perception. Adjust strategy based on real-time data and consumer insights. 5. Team Leadership & Collaboration Mentor the team to create automotive-focused content, ensuring a mix of brand storytelling and product education. Collaborate with dealerships, sales teams, and marketing to align messaging. Work with internal teams to manage brand reputation, to ensure consistency. Collaborate with paid media teams to optimise and performance and budget allocation 6. Budget & Paid Media Strategy Oversee social media ad spend for targeted automotive campaigns, including lead generation Optimise campaigns across platforms like Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn, depending on audience segmentation. Oversee partnerships with agencies, freelancers, and third-party vendors as needed he ideal candidate will be highly organised, ambitious, and have a proactive, positive attitude. Strong analytical skills, creativity, and meticulous attention to detail are essential for this role, as is the ability to collaborate with team members across multiple projects and meet deadlines.
