Job Description:
The Role: Risk Manager
Location: Hertfordshire + nationwide travel
Salary: Up to £55,000 per annum
I am delighted to be working with a wonderful Leisure & Entertainment client with an extensive estate across the UK and beyond. There is a real buzz in the air as 2024 brings fresh ideas and new projects to embark upon. To strengthen their inspired in-house team, the hunt is on for an amazing Risk Manager who will also take the lead on H&S, fire, security, food and insurance/risk services for the group.
ESSENTIAL FOR THE ROLE:
* Health & Safety qualification – minimum level 3 equivalent – NEBOSH/NVQ/NCRQ, ideally working towards next level.
* Experience of working in a risk management role in a multi-site environment including audit, risk assessment, implementation of policies/procedures/training, incident management/investigation, and performance reporting.
* Food Hygiene Level 3 qualification and experience of risk management in an F&B environment is desirable.
* Experience of working with enforcing authorities and third-party contractors.
As part of the Risk Management team, you will work closely with the wider Group Operations department, Venue Operations department, the F&B Team, and other HR functions, as necessary. This role is regional with the requirement to travel across all venues to provide support as necessary and with use of the Head Office locations.
To be successful, you will need to be collaborative and engaging with a demonstrable history of supporting, implementing, auditing, and practicing Risk functions in a multi-site, fast-paced, customer-centric environment. If you are an individual who can inspire, influence, and engage with others, this could be the role for YOU!
Key Responsibilities:
* Promotion of good Risk Management practice within all levels of the business to minimise the risk of loss, damage, or injury to employees, company assets, customers, contractors, and reputation (Note: the role does not incorporate financial risk management).
* Responsible for providing support, direction, guidance, policy, governance, and audit within the group and across all supported Venues/Offices and to other Head Office departments in the agreed areas of responsibility.
This role offers a wealth of variety and personal development opportunities as you join an amazing team at a pivotal time. If you have experience across historical buildings, large-scale events, or the entertainment industry, it could be advantageous. What you really need is a practical, solutions-based approach to Risk Management with the ambition to find the simplest processes that complement the business operation.
