Job Duties:
* Provide one-on-one tutoring sessions to students with special educational needs in English and Maths at GCSE level
* Create individualised lesson plans based on students' learning needs
* Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching methods as necessary
* Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff regarding student progress
* Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions and student achievements
Required Qualifications:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Experience teaching English and Maths at GCSE level
* Experience working with students with special educational needs
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in a similar role
Knowledge and Skills:
* Strong understanding of the UK education system
* Ability to tailor teaching methods to meet individual student needs
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Proficient in assessment and evaluation techniques
Preferred Qualifications:
* Postgraduate qualification in Special Educational Needs (SEN)
* Experience using assistive technology in teaching
Working Conditions:
* Part-time hours, flexible schedule
* Work primarily in a classroom or educational setting
* May require travel to students' homes or other locations
