This is a new opportunity for an ESD Engineer to join our global Semiconductor client based in Edinburgh, UK. Visa sponsorship and relocation assistance available.
The ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) Engineer will be a key member of a world-class team engaged in developing cutting-edge CMOS circuits for multimedia products. The ESD Engineer will be responsible for designing and optimising I/O circuits and ESD structures, and characterization and modeling of I/O libraries for mixed-signal design flows.
The ESD Engineer will report to the ESD Manager based in the US and will be the sole ESD expert in the UK, hence the role comes with a lot of autonomy! Longer term, the UK ESD team will expand, and so offers great scope for leadership.
The right candidate:

Essential requirements include:
A BSc / MSc degree in Electronic Engineering or similar field
Have a strong understanding of the concepts of ESD circuit design for chip protection
Knowledge of IO design, including CMOS circuit design, ESD and latch-up requirements, physical verification, and characterization
