Working Hours: 8:30 AM - 4 PM, Monday to Friday
Contract: Temporary to Permanent available
About the Role:
We are seeking compassionate and resilient Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistants to join our specialist schools across Surrey. This role is designed for individuals committed to providing consistent support to students with special educational needs (SEN). Ideal candidates will be patient, resilient, and dedicated to helping students thrive academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide daily support to students with SEN, ensuring their individual needs are met and engaging them with learning
* Collaborate with teachers and support staff to implement and adapt tailored learning plans
* Support students with challenging behaviours, using positive strategies to manage situations effectively
* Create a calm, positive, and inclusive classroom environment
* Build trusting relationships with students, encouraging resilience and confidence
* Monitor and report on student progress, contributing to assessments
* Assist with behavioural strategies to help students manage emotions and social interactions
About You:
* Resilient, calm, and positive in managing challenging behaviours
* Experience with SEN students is desirable but not essential
* Committed to full-time work and supporting students consistently
* Patient, empathetic, and adaptable to individual needs
* Excellent communication skills and teamwork
* Proactive and eager to make a positive impact
