Community Learning Disability Physiotherapist, Band 5/6 Developmental post.
This post is 30 hours per week, permanent contract, to work in our Community Team for People with Learning Disabilities in the Reading locality.
We are looking for a Community Learning Disability Physiotherapist who will join our multi-disciplinary team and help to make a difference to the quality of life for people with learning disabilities. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a wide range of people with many diverse and complex needs. This is a great opportunity to work in the community providing you with a unique opportunity to develop and learn within the learning disability service.
You may be a newly qualified physiotherapist looking for a developmental role within our learning disabilities service, or a physiotherapist with a minimum of 3 years of experience and keen to work within our specialist service working with people with a learning disability. You will be expected to do some of your visits remotely & face-to-face, working in a multi-disciplinary team approach, including working with private care providers and families. The ability to educate and influence is therefore essential.

Main duties of the job
* To manage a caseload autonomously.
* To work within the Community Learning disability multi-disciplinary team based in Reading but may be required to cover Berkshire wide as per requirements.
* To provide a high standard of quality physiotherapy service to people with learning disabilities in community settings.
* To provide specialist advice and therapeutic interventions to parents and carers of people with a learning disability.

* BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy
* Member of the HCPC
* Member of the CSP

* Minimum of 3 years post graduate experience
* Relevant validated clinical courses accredited as equivalent to masters level
