Part Time (Variable)
Lecturer in Engineering (Truro)
£27.84 - £41-34 per hour
Fixed term until July 2025
We are one of the highest-performing colleges nationally, and we are seeking enthusiastic and committed engineering specialists to join our successful Engineering team on a bank/variable hours basis.
If you have the ability to inspire students, maintain excellent working relationships, and deliver high-quality teaching, we’d love to hear from you. A willingness to support students pastorally is essential, as is the ability to be adaptable and flexible in a dynamic working environment.
The ideal candidates should work with confidence across a wide variety of ability levels, be committed team members, and possess a clear enthusiasm for their subject. Successful applicants will provide high-quality teaching on education programmes and contribute to an outstanding learning experience for our students.
You will have the opportunity to teach on a variety of engineering and manufacturing courses. Depending on your expertise, this could include delivery of relevant engineering theory (e.g., maths and physics), CAD, CAM, fabrication, or design, primarily at Level 3. We welcome applications from candidates from any specialism within engineering.
Applicants should hold a degree or similar professional qualification/experience in engineering, relevant technology, or product design, as well as a recognised teaching qualification (or be willing to work towards one).
In this flexible role, working days are likely to include Thursdays and Fridays, but hours will vary depending on the needs of the department.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals who are looking to work flexibly and contribute to the success of our students while gaining valuable teaching experience in a thriving college environment.
We will be interviewing as and when we receive suitable applicants and/or we have confirmed additional staffing needs.
CLOSING DATE: 5PM, MONDAY 17 FEBRUARY 2025
Curriculum Vitae are not accepted, Application Forms only.
Successful candidates will be notified within 4 weeks of the closing date.
