Warehouse Manager

Kinetic Industrial are recruiting a Warehouse Manager for a global packaging client based in Bradford. This is a fixed, permanent position lasting up to one year, with the possibility of extension. The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5 pm, with occasional early or late shifts as needed.
As the Warehouse Manager, you'll work within the Supply Chain department and report to the Supply Chain Manager. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and effective team leadership. Managing a team of 12 to 15 staff, including FLT Drivers and Material Handlers, you will coordinate and optimise workflows to maintain a seamless operation.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage daily warehouse activities and ensure safe and efficient operations, coordinating with the Health & Safety Manager as needed.
2. Oversee inventory management, address stock discrepancies, and conduct regular cycle counts and annual stock takes.
3. Lead and support the warehouse team, plan daily tasks, and manage performance through appraisals and supervision meetings.
4. Identify skill gaps and arrange necessary training, including annual FLT refreshers.
5. Plan and monitor the loading and unloading of shipments, ensuring clear communication with third-party logistics partners.
6. Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and One-Point Lessons (OPLs) and ensure adherence to quality standards.
7. Handle HR-related issues, including attendance, disciplinary actions, and grievance processes in coordination with the HR Manager.
8. Work closely with Supply Chain and Management teams to align processes and optimise warehouse performance.
Requirements:
1. Previous role in managing operations within a FMCG warehouse or similar environment.
2. Experienced in using database management systems and strong MS Office skills.
3. Knowledge of Oracle / 6S / BRC is desirable but not essential.
4. Current C/B and Reach FLT certificates are desirable but not essential.
5. Knowledge of Food Product Safety Standards; BRC, HACCP etc.
6. An excellent team player with good interpersonal skills able to communicate at all levels.
7. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
8. Enthusiastic with a drive for continuous improvement.
9. Logical with a high attention to detail.
10. Excellent customer focus.
Details:
1. £34,000 to £37,500 per annum dependant on experience.
2. Fixed, permanent position, one year with the possibility of extension.
3. Monday to Friday. 8:30am to 5pm, with some early and late shifts.
