The role
Due to increased demand Oxford High School are seeking casual Minibus Drivers to join a friendly team providing a safe, professional and courteous transport service across all 3 sites.
Candidates will need to be confident in interacting with children and be able to maintain a good atmosphere on the bus. Drivers will need to have a warm and flexible approach, be able to show initiative, work well on their own and as part of a team.
You will report to the Transport Team Leader and work as part of a team of Minibus Drivers responsible for driving the school minibuses and carrying out routine safety checks. Ideally you will live locally, but this is not essential.
It is essential that you possess a full clean driving licence, excellent time management and outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to young people, parents and colleagues. Experience of driving passenger vehicles (minibus D1 provision), first aid training and Midas training is desirable however not essential as training will be provided.
This position is term time, Mondays to Fridays and a degree of flexibility is required to meet the needs of the busy school calendar. Shifts are early (6:15 to 9:15) and afternoon (15:30 to 18:30). Extra hours are available depending on school trip requirements.
