Resource Planner
Salary: £11.49 per hour
Location: GL5, Stroud
Hours: Monday-Friday- 9am - 5.30pm
Till December 2025 with possible extension
Job Purpose: To provide a comprehensive resource planning, scheduling, and repairs diagnostic service to stakeholders, while maintaining excellent customer focused service.
KEY DUTIES
1. Provide a frontline customer focused service to tenants, leaseholders, trade operatives and stakeholders.
2. Ensure effective planning of trade operatives when allocating jobs using an electronic scheduling system.
3. Co-ordinate and manage changes to operative's diaries including annual leave and sickness.
4. Administer and schedule servicing regimes for SDC owned and managed properties, for example Gas Safety Inspections and Electrical Periodic Tests.
5. Responsible for providing an administration service for the effective organisation of the Council's in-house service provider, and support contractors.
6. Understand the Council Financial Regulations, Contract Standing Orders and Divisional Procedures and ensure compliance at all times.
7. Resolve queries and complaints where possible including advising customers of the corporate complaints procedure.
8. Contribute effectively to the performance of the team, actively promoting customer participation, proactively gaining customer satisfaction information and ensuring value for money is achieved in all aspects of the Service.
9. Contribute as required to the provision of repair information to maintain and update the Council's stock condition database.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
1. Good written and verbal communications skills.
2. Experience of working with the public.
3. IT literate.
4. General understanding of Natural Gas and Renewable Technology.
5. Ability to diagnose faults over the phone using diagnostic software.
6. Ability to manage own time and workload.
7. Proficient at taking repairs requests, raising inspections/works orders using the integrated computer system, categorising repairs requests according to urgency and customers needs ensuring compliance with best practice.
8. Ability to undertake work concerning more involved tasks confined to one function or area of activity, which requires a good standard of practical knowledge and skills in that area of activity.
