Highly Specialist Occupational Therapist
London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and driven Occupational Therapist to join the Acute Therapies Neurology Team at Ealing Hospital.
You will work closely with a team of two physiotherapists and a therapy technician to deliver specialist therapy services for patients with neurological conditions admitted at Ealing Hospital. You will be an essential part of the large multidisciplinary team and part of the wider inpatient therapy team. This well-established team works closely with counterparts in Neuro Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy services at Northwick Park Hospital to innovate, share knowledge, and embed good practices. The successful applicant will have significant experience at band 6 level in occupational therapy treatment/management of neurology conditions and be able to demonstrate leadership qualities and management acumen.
You will be supported in your development by the Clinical Specialist Occupational Therapist at Northwick Park Hospital and will be working closely with other therapists, social workers, and intermediate care teams. You will be required to work in conjunction with the Team Lead at Ealing Hospital to develop and support the rest of the team.
At LNWUH NHS Trust, we are committed to delivering top-quality patient care, excellent education, and research.
We would consider a competency-based developmental position for a Band 6 working towards a Band 7 role.

5. Contribute to the management of all aspects of the Neurology Inpatient OT Service, including prioritising and organising all referrals to the neurology service and allocation of patients.
6. Be responsible for the development and appraisal of team members, including specialist rotational OTs, juniors, and students.
7. Regularly provide formal and informal ongoing training and education to OT staff, other healthcare professionals, and students.
8. Engage in your own continued professional development (CPD) and service development.
9. Take a lead on clinical audit within the team and undertake research.
