About The Role
At EKFB we’re shaping Infrastructure for a better tomorrow. All four of our partners (Eiffage, Kier, Ferrovial and BAM) bring specialist expertise in the design, construction, operation, financing, and maintenance of railway networks, including the construction of one of Europe’s latest high speed rail projects.
We're looking to recruit a Lead Temporary Works Coordinator to join our Calvert Area (CA) of works. This role will be based from our West Street Compound which is located just outside of Buckingham. Due to the location of this role and our site compounds, we do ask that you hold a full driving license.
We'll need you to manage and lead the team of Temporary Works Coordinators (TWC) within the Calvert Area in the specification, design, approval, checking, installation, maintenance and removal of all necessary temporary works (TW).
You'll help carry out the duties of the TWC where necessary e.g. in the event of absence. You'll also be identifying all TW activities and recording them on the TW Control Register. The role requires you to assess the risk level of all TW and record this on the TW Control Register. You will need to contribute to Design Briefs with full consultation of those involved, ensuring they are adequate and in accordance with the actual situation on site. You will ensure TW design and design checks are carried out and Design Check certificates are available and issued to relevant stakeholders.
We'll need you to ensure the Safe System of Work for the erection, use and dismantling of the TW are prepared, and are communicated to and understood by those involved. We'd also expect you to provide full details of the design, including any limitations or constraints associated with the TW, are available to those responsible for the erection of TW.
The role requires you to ensure ground conditions, general site conditions, loadings etc. are as stated on the Design Brief or the TW design assumptions (and remain so during use). Its important to ensure that Hold Points (Permit to Load/Unload) are identified and are known by all those involved and are not passed until a Permit is issued. We'd need you to check that anyone carrying out bespoke fabrication of temporary works is competent and ensure full records and other relevant documents relating to the final design are kept.
