Sales Director - UK based - Hybrid The Sales Director will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and ensuring the success of our sales team through complete ownership, development and implementation of the business sales strategy. This position demands a seasoned professional with a proven track record in the aviation and/or oil & gas industry and ideally SaaS sales, exceptional leadership skills, and a strategic mindset. Intrinsic to the role will be a demonstrated ability to operate in multiple geographies and to deliver a total product solution from a range of product entry points. Developing our sales organisation globally to enable rapid pipeline and revenue growth. The Sales Director will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive sales strategies, managing key client relationships, and fostering a high-performance sales culture within the organisation. As a pivotal figure in a fast-scaling tech company, the Sales Director assumes a multifaceted role that encompasses strategic leadership, team management, and driving revenue growth. At the helm of the company's sales efforts, they are responsible for crafting and executing a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with the organisation's growth objectives. This entails identifying target markets, refining sales processes, and establishing key performance indicators to gauge success and to ensure that committed revenue growth figures are met. The Sales Director also plays a crucial role in building and nurturing a high-performing sales team, recruiting top talent, providing guidance and mentorship, and fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration. Key Responsibilities: Global Sales strategy and planning, Revenue generation and delivery of growth Ownership and delivery of the business sales strategy and its successful execution. Team leadership and development Business development Customer relationship management Sales and pre-sales operations including bid/tender management Alignment of sales with delivery to ensure customer satisfaction Sales & Support Partner engagement & management Collaboration with Product Management/Development team Collaboration with Customer Experience Team Collaboration with Marketing Member of Executive Leadership Team Key Accountabilities: Collaborate with Executive Leadership to align sales objectives with overall company goals. Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve i6 revenue targets and market share growth, including development of longer term sales pipeline to ensure agility and adaptability to change Lead, mentor and inspire the team to achieve exceptional performance in all areas. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key customers and strategic partners. Oversee sales forecasting, budgeting, and reporting activities, reporting to Board as and when required Ensure forecast accuracy and opportunity validation process is aligned with strategy and data driven. Provide valuable insights into market trends and customer needs to inform product development, customer experience and marketing strategies. Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred). Track record of success delivering and building revenue in a recurring revenue business Experience in the aviation and/or oil and gas industries. Proven track record of success in aviation sales leadership roles. In-depth knowledge of aviation industry market dynamics. Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a sales team. Good working knowledge of the SaaS industry Business Development. Experience with CRM tools and sales performance analytics. Experience of securing business on a global basis with a focus on Europe, Middle East and USA
