A fantastic opportunity has arisen working within East Staffordshire Borough Council's HR & Payments Team, which is recruiting to the role of HR Officer. This is a high profile, generalist HR role within the team in which you will be working closely with managers and colleagues across the organisation, providing high quality professional advice on all aspects of HR matters.
You will have a level 3 CIPD qualification, a sound knowledge of employment legislation and be confident in advising and influencing managers and employees. A great team player, you will be committed, flexible and adaptable to the needs of the department.
You should have a strong understanding and experience of employment law, HR best practice and internal processes, particularly in the areas of disciplinary, grievance and sickness management. You will also have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to manage competing priorities to meet deadlines.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Level 3 CIPD qualification.
2. Knowledge of employment legislation.
3. Experience in advising on disciplinary, grievance and sickness management.
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
