Reed are working with a client who are looking for a dynamic and experienced Financial Controller / Finance Manager to join our small but dedicated finance team. This role is pivotal in managing the finance function across three operational businesses with a combined turnover of approximately £6m. The successful candidate will supervise and manage the workload of a part-qualified AAT accountant.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparation of monthly management accounts, including accruals, journal postings, full balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis.
Leading the preparation of the annual budgets and ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
Developing and maintaining short-term cashflow forecasts to ensure financial stability.
Producing and presenting weekly management performance reports to the operational management team.
Overseeing the accounts payable and receivable functions to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Preparing and processing supplier payments in a timely manner.
Creating ad-hoc financial reports for management or Directors as required.
Managing the preparation and processing of the monthly payroll and pension contributions.Skills and Competencies:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
Proficiency in Xero accounting, Sage Payroll, Advanced MS Excel
