This is a full-time role for 37.5 hours a week, over 4 days. This may include some weekends and occasional evenings if required.

About the Role
The key responsibilities of the Theatre Practitioner will be to focus on patient centric care, participating in the entire pathways for all patients from pre-admission, surgery, and post-operative management. If you are a registered nurse or operating department practitioner, we can provide training and professional development to benefit your career.
You will be an experienced Theatre Practitioner undertaking preoperative assessment, diagnostics testing, and theatre scrub under AfPP good practice guidance.
Ideally you will have proven experience as a Scrub Practitioner in Ophthalmic theatres, however our clinical education team can provide training and mentorship for your transition into working within our ophthalmic / cataract surgical centres.

To be successful in this role you will need:
* Previous ophthalmic scrub experience
* Current valid registration with NMC or HCPC
* Evidence of relevant professional development
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Passion for delivering first- rate patient safety and care
* Strong knowledge of perioperative procedures and infection control practices.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
