Role Overview
Customworks is a leading supplier of gift products to the heritage sector, manufacturing over 30 product lines at our factory in Bo'Ness. We are seeking to recruit a qualified Safety Officer on a part time basis to ensure that our processes are compliant, and our policies are demonstrably in practice. In a part time roll working 3 days a week.
Responsibilities for health & safety
* Delivering and monitoring safety and health strategies
* Maintaining the safety and health systems to ensure compliance with relevant industry standards
* Perform other H&S related duties as required
* Lead and facilitate the hazard analysis and risk assessment process across all office and project disciplines
* Lead and participate in incident investigations and reporting
* Prepare, implement and review office and project emergency response plans
* Implement and manage the office and project audit plan
* Coordinate and update product compliance for GPSR
* Lead ISO9001 and ISO14001 compliance and accreditation process
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Preferred candidate will have at least two (2) years’ work experience in health and safety
* NEBOSH or equivalent HSE qualification
* Knowledge and practical experience with ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 management systems
* Experience in product safety testing and compliance with industry standards would be beneficial
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
* Excellent communication skills
Job Type: Part-time (3 days a week)
Pay: Up to £18 000 per year
Expected hours: 23.25 per week
