We're seeking a dynamic individual to take on a pivotal role in our finance team as Head of Finance supporting our Group Operations function. This is an opportunity to be a key driver in our organization and help us achieve our business performance goals through innovative finance leadership!
Our Finance department drives our company forward, steering major investment projects and transforming data into powerful insights. Reporting to the Business Finance Director, this is an opportunity to be a strategic partner with our Group Manufacturing Director, coordinating and leading the finance-related activities and support, driving productivity, efficiencies, and profitability.
So, what's the role?
* Lead finance-related operation-related activities, ensuring adherence to Marshalls group policies.
* Measure success through accurate and timely P&L and inventory reporting and monitoring performance, and working to develop improvement plans.
* Propose & implement action plans to improve profitability or leverage the use of costs/resources.
* Drive profitability by identifying business needs and risks and translating them into effective action plans (forecasts and budgets).
* You will oversee one direct report, a Business Partner, to ensure the delivery of timely, relevant, and accurate reporting alongside ad hoc support as required.
* You will actively collaborate with Business Finance colleagues on overlapping initiatives.
* Embed standardization, automation, and simplification across the finance organization to eliminate duplication of effort and improve productivity and quality.
* Drive, implement, and manage change initiatives to deliver team and organization-wide improvements.
* Capital management - acting as the first line of critical analysis to ensure capital investment is driving the right outcome, applying analysis to critique and challenge.

* Leadership & Communication: Ability to convey complex data concisely and influence the organization
* Analytical & Strategic Thinking: Strong at identifying improvement opportunities and driving effective outcomes to improve profitability
* Organizational Skills: Excellent prioritization, ability to work under pressure and adaptability under tight deadlines
* Collaboration: Effective team builder who can engage peers and senior stakeholders and develop future leaders
* Change Management: Confidence to challenge the status quo and drive necessary changes
* Educational Background: Degree with a relevant Accountancy Qualification
* Technical Proficiency: Skilled in Excel, AX / D365, XLCubed, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
* Continuous Improvement Mindset: Commitment to enhancing the quality of reporting and processes through efficiency and automation
