Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Physical Inventory Controller to maintain a safe and accurate inventory environment. The successful candidate will work closely with various departments to drive stock management improvements.
Main Responsibilities
Maintain a Safe Work Environment
The Inventory Controller is responsible for maintaining a safe work environment that adheres to company policies and regulations.
Maintain Accurate Inventory Levels
The Inventory Controller must ensure accurate inventory levels throughout all areas of the business, utilizing SAP software to monitor and update inventory levels as necessary.
Stock Management Improvements
The successful candidate will work closely with each department to drive stock management improvements across the business, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Warehouse Coordination
The Inventory Controller will coordinate with the Warehouse Supervisor to ensure timely communication of requirement needs and schedules.
Authorization and Reporting
The Inventory Controller is responsible for ensuring correct authorization is approved through the correct channels for stock adjustments and submitting monthly reports to the finance department.
Audit Participation and Compliance
The successful candidate may be required to participate in company audits to meet legal requirements and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Investigation and Improvement
The Inventory Controller will investigate root causes of stock losses and implement improvements to prevent reoccurrence.
Vendor and Stock Takes
The successful candidate will conduct vendor stock takes in line with company policy and potentially travel to vendors to complete checks.
Quality Control Checks
The Inventory Controller will conduct WIP checks on production orders, service management orders, and customer consignment stock to ensure quality and accuracy.
Requirements
Experience and Skills
The Inventory Controller must have previous experience in a stock environment and be computer literate, with a working knowledge of stock management and stock accuracy.
Communication and Interpersonal Skills
Good interpersonal communication skills are required to build key working relationships with other departments.
