Main duties of the job
This is a fantastic PA opportunity within a friendly, busy team working 50/50 between office (Southampton Hospital Tremona Rd site) and home. This role offers the opportunity to engage with a broad range of stakeholders while supporting the HR leadership team.
About us
As one of the largest acute teaching Trusts in England, we offer learning and development opportunities to help you achieve your career aspirations. This role is suitable for agile working, which is a mixture of on-site and remote work. We are open to discussing flexible working hours. Please talk to us at the interview about the flexibility you need, and we will explore what's possible for the role and service. UHS employees can access a range of NHS discounts, a minimum of 35 days paid holiday (pro rata), and a generous pension scheme.
Southampton is an attractive place to live and work, situated on the south coast, with an international airport and direct trains to London. The New Forest National Park and beaches of the Jurassic coast are also nearby, with living costs 20% lower than London and 14 schools rated outstanding by Ofsted.
Job responsibilities
You will be involved in everything from juggling diary commitments to taking minutes, organizing meetings to collating reports, preparing agendas and meeting packs to organizing travel; and making the odd cuppa for guests!
This is a busy role where the ability to prioritize and plan your time effectively is essential. You will have exposure to confidential information, so it is important that you are sensitive to this. Ideally, you will have some PA experience, be organized and practical, a real team player, and someone who thrives on multitasking.
This role has become available due to the internal promotion of our current PA; we are very happy to support personal development and offer opportunities for broader exposure within the hospital. We are offering 30 hours per week, which can be split over 4 or 5 days.
