At Doncasters we have an exciting opportunity for a Training Coordinator to join our team at Ross & Catherall in Sheffield.
This is a site-based role, working a day’s pattern of work although flexibility will be needed around start and finish times to ensure a successful collaboration with our shift-based colleagues.
The Role
The role is responsible for delivering all our mobile plant (forklift truck and overhead crane) training, as well as ensuring our team are fully competent in manual handling techniques and using abrasive wheels. You will use your knowledge of the practical and theoretical side of forklift trucks and overhead cranes and translate this into high-quality training for novice and experienced operators.
You will also be responsible for delivering our onboarding training programme, ensuring our new starters are familiar with, and understand, our mandatory policies and procedures.
You will be able to adapt the training delivery to suit the environment and the learning needs of the trainee, as well as undertake evaluation of training delivered to ensure improvements are made that enhance the quality of training delivered.
Excellent organisation skills will be needed to ensure that training is planned and delivered in conjunction with the business and the impact upon operations is minimised. You will be responsible for the accurate maintenance of our training matrix, ensuring individuals are fully trained and competent for the role in which they are deployed and that training documentation is available to support the training carried out.

You must hold a valid ITSSAR or RTITB (or equivalent) qualification enabling you to deliver lift truck training. An instructor qualification for manual handling and abrasive wheels would be advantageous.
