Rangeford Villages develops & operates retirement villages for people aged over 60. Strawberry Fields the newest village in the Rangeford portfolio and is set in the picturesque village of Stapleford, just outside Cambridge. It aims to create an exciting, innovative and contemporary community for owners to live life to the full, with a wide range of leisure activities, services, support and care.
As part of this exciting new opening, we are looking to recruit a Village Manager. You will have the opportunity to build your own team, who will be passionate about delivering incredible hospitality and support our vision to enable our owners to live their lives independently and with purpose & fulfilment.
Salary: £70,000 but negotiable depending on experience

Job Description
The Village Manager will lead the operations of Strawberry Fields, overseeing the smooth-running of the site, delivering friendly and efficient services to owners, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere to potential new and existing owners, friend’s families and visitors.
The initial priority will be to create the team, commission the building and open the village to our owners and the local community. Opening experience would be an advantage, although not essential.
The Village Manager will have operational responsibility for all areas of the business, including Wellbeing/Spa/Gym, Concierge/Transport, Housekeeping, Bar/Restaurant and Maintenance also be responsible for Owner events and onboarding, Health and Safety, local HR and dealing with Owner issues. The creation of a strong food and beverage offer will be led by the village manager, focusing on fresh, local and seasonal produce in partnership with the Head Chef. The Care service is run separately but with a good working relationship with the Village Manager being crucial.
Responsibilities
The position of Village Manager is a hands-on role, ensuring that employees are correctly supervised, trained and motivated and adhere to H&S guidance and company policies at all times. Financial reporting and budget accountability is a key component of this role along with supporting the Head of Operations and Finance Director in annual budget preparation and communicating with owners. The Village Manager is responsible for the effective delivery of services at Strawberry Fields, within Rangeford’s vision, values and strategic objectives. This includes:
· Efficient running of all areas service to include housing management, maintenance, administration, wellbeing and catering
· To ensure that the service has a stable dedicated and competent team to deliver a consistent quality service to the owners
· To form and maintain open and constructive relationships with all those who have either an interest, or statutory duty, to ensure good practice and so enhance the quality of life for owners

Skills & Experience
Must have at least 5 years previous management experience in retirement villages/extra care/retirement schemes, hotels, restaurants or other relevant locations. Experience and evidence of managing multiple functions and a proven track record of successfully delivering multiple services against KPI’s is essential.
Qualifications
Ideally the role holder will be educated to degree level or have comparable experience and will hold a managerial qualification which can be applied to or is relevant to at least one of the following areas:
Hospitality / Housing management, F&B Management, Hotel Management, Customer Services, training and Facilities Management
Due to the nature of the environment the successful candidate will be required to undertake a DBS check - paid for by us.
