Support the Fire Safety Advisor in establishing a fire safety management system across the organisation and building key working relationships internally and externally.
Assist the Fire Safety Advisor in ensuring the organisation meets its statutory obligations regarding fire safety and security.
Contribute to the delivery of Fire Strategy and Security Strategy, including supporting policies, protocols, and procedures for all Trust sites.
Assist in developing appropriate strategies, guidance, and codes of practice to facilitate effective implementation of Fire Safety Policy and Security Management Policy.
Support the delivery of training and audits against current fire/security legislation and practices across the Trust.
Assist in providing accurate fire risk assessments and action plans.
Main Duties of the Job
Provide knowledge and planning techniques to develop a tactical plan for dealing with fire emergencies in complex healthcare environments, including evacuation under major incident conditions.
The successful applicant will have a proactive, professional, problem-solving approach to fire safety issues and be able to build strong working relationships with a wide range of staff to promote a positive safety culture across Trust premises and buildings where care is delivered. Reporting to the Fire Safety Advisor, you will assist in delivering Fire Safety Advice, Fire Policy, Protocols and Procedures, and Fire Prevention techniques, including mandatory Fire Safety Training for all staff grades.
You will advise and support the Trust in delivering its Strategy and achieving compliance with both current and future requirements of the NHS HTM Fire Code and the legislative requirements of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Orders 2005 and the Health and Safety Executive.

Person Specification
Proven Experience in Fire Safety Management
* Experience conducting fire risk assessments and audits
* Experience in training delivery, particularly fire safety awareness and evacuation procedures
* Experience in healthcare-specific fire safety challenges, such as the evacuation of vulnerable persons
* Minimum 5 Years Local Authority Fire Service Operational or Fire Safety experience
* Competence in writing detailed reports and maintaining accurate fire safety documentation
