This is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic Management Accountant Reporting Lead to be responsible for all group management reports, including Group financial performance, Board report, cash flow report, and Forecast/Budget books. You will be key to providing partnering for the wider FP&A and financial reporting teams in the business while providing key analysis and insights.
This role will help drive forward the development of management reports and analysis across the group ensuring best practice processes are implemented to deliver improved insight, accountability, and understanding of Thames management results.
What you'll be doing as a Management Accountant Reporting Lead
* Responsible for providing monthly reports to the CO-CEOs, the CFO, the Board, and shareholders to the standard required by the audience.
* Creation of high-quality reports, analysis, and commentary on performance.
* Own and manage relationships wider to understand drivers of performance and business cost trends, producing insights to support decision making.
* Understanding of P&L and cashflow performance and provide insights on overall position improving Thames understanding of its cost trends and drivers, with the support of Business FP&A teams.
* Work together with the Financial reporting team to ensure alignment.
* Support the Head of FP&A on budgeting and forecasting analysis and ad hoc requests.
What you should bring to the role?
* Qualified accountant with in-depth experience in Management reporting function with a proven track record in 'adding value’.
* Solid experience in implementing new reports, analysis, and good quality reconciliations.
* Be prepared to lead projects such as Forecast/Budget books bringing improvements, automation.
* Able to deal with a large set of numbers, and build a database of one version of the truth.
* Able to multi-task and prioritise own work and effectively deal with ad-hoc tasks and projects.
* Strong analytical, Excel (including financial modelling), and PowerPoint skills.
* Attention to detail whilst being able to see the broader picture.
* Solid communications experience – prepare concise presentations and support the drafting of papers that will be sent to the Group Executive level.
* Proactive and ambitious - sets high goals for self and continuously strives to improve.
* System experience with SAP and HFM preferable.
