Group Finance Manager £55000-£65000 bonus benefits SW Hertfordshire Our client is a global technology company with market-leading products and is listed on AIM. We are currently seeking a hands-on Group Finance Manager for the head office team based in SW Hertfordshire. As Group Finance Manager you will be responsible for the preparation of the group consolidation and financial reporting under IFRS. You will also be responsible for day-to-day areas of accounting, reporting and corporate compliance for the group. This role would be suited to a recently qualified accountant (2-5 years PQE), The ideal profile is an ACA qualified finance professional from a top 10 practice with one to two years' post-qualified experience in commerce and industry, who is now looking to take the next step in their career and progress towards an FC/FD role in the future. Working as part of a small head office team, you will will liaise on a daily basis with the CFO and Group FC, as well as the founder and senior operational management team. Key duties and responsibilities: Timely preparation of the multi-currency group consolidation under IFRS Responsibility for calculating and applying IFRS adjustments including adjustments for revenue, leases and development costs Ensuring that accounting policies are aligned across the group Preparation of revenue dashboards, reporting packs and management accounts for group companies Supporting with the preparation of the PLC annual report, interim financial statements and statutory accounts of subsidiary companies Liaison with external auditors and preparation of audit support schedules and working papers Supporting with the preparation of the annual budget and updating financial forecasts Maintaining and updating financial models to support the valuation of intangible assets Responsibility for day-to-day bookkeeping of some group companies including the posting of journals and transactions Ownership of the accounting for inventory, fixed assets, deferred income, accruals, prepayments and other areas for the main trading entity Working closely with other team members in the UK and overseas to complete the monthly close process Ensuring that balance sheet accounts are reconciled monthly, monitoring risks and opportunities Supporting with the preparation of sales tax and corporate tax returns - UK and overseas. Preparing employee benefit P11D reporting Supporting with financial integration and acquisition accounting for future M&A Identification and implementation of systems and process improvements Other ad hoc duties. Essential: Qualified accountant with a practice background (2-5 years post-qualified experience) Strong technical accounting skills including knowledge of reporting under UK GAAP/IFRS Hands-on and can-do attitude Experience of working in a group environment with multiple territories/currencies Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills Confident in extracting, manipulating and reporting data from finance systems in an excel based environment A high degree of spreadsheet competence.
