Trial Balance has been assigned exclusively by a repeat client, a very successful manufacturing business based in Penryn, to source a high calibre Assistant Accountant to join their friendly accounting team. The role is full time onsite; however, 4 days per week would be considered for suitable candidates.
Responsibilities
1. Assisting with month end duties, including sales reports, European VAT and Intrastat reporting, and group reconciliations.
2. Management reporting.
3. Assisting with the preparation of year end statutory reports.
4. Monthly management accounts.
5. Ledger maintenance.
6. Payroll.
Qualifications
This role would suit an AAT qualified applicant or a candidate with a similar level of workplace gained experience. You should be able to demonstrate a decent working knowledge of Excel, including pivot tables, VLookups, and complex formulas. Additionally, the successful candidate will need a broad skillset in financial and management accounting principles, along with a collaborative working style and strong IT skills, ideally including Sage.
