As Assurance Standards Consultant, you'd be accountable for the delivery of effective assurance oversight, keeping The Openwork Partnership safe and reducing consumer harm. Responsible for ensuring efficient and effective assurance standards are in place across the operational regulatory functions, this is a proactive role with great scope for development.
This is a hybrid role with 2 days per week in our Swindon office.
The opportunity
As Assurance Standards Consultant, you'd be accountable for the delivery of effective assurance oversight, keeping The Openwork Partnership safe and reducing consumer harm. Responsible for ensuring efficient and effective assurance standards are in place across the operational regulatory functions, this is a proactive role with great scope for development.
This is a hybrid role with 2 days per week in our Swindon office.

1. Salary - £34,000
2. Bonus scheme - on target bonus - 7.5%

Key Accountabilities:
1. Proactively identify and report any quality, trends, themes, emerging risks, and behavioural indicators.
2. Identify opportunities for improved efficiencies and to strengthen the regulatory controls.
3. Provide SME support and oversight across Openwork and 2plan entities within the COO function to support the delivery of effective control management across AR monitoring activity.
4. Undertake a variety of governance, monitoring and assurance activities including supporting compliance-based audits and risk assessments focused on systems and controls across operational functions.
5. Escalate effectively and make suggestions for action, and implement solutions, to keep The Openwork Partnership safe & reduce consumer harm.
6. Display an understanding of the end-to-end business processes, procedures, and systems (across operational functions) so that the implications of change are fully understood and communicated.
7. Provide support to projects and initiatives as required. Assist with internal / external audits and oversight.
8. Undertake regular reviews of policies and standards to ensure they are up to date and fit for purpose.
9. Where required, work alongside business functions to document governance frameworks and processes.
10. Attend relevant groups/committees as required.
What will you need to succeed?
1. Relevant experience in a similar role in financial services
2. Knowledge of FCA legislation, particularly TCF and Data Protection
3. Understanding of risk/control frameworks, governance, and regulatory controls
4. Good market, risk, and business awareness
5. Excellent stakeholder and relationship management skills
6. Analytical skills and attention to detail
7. Effective under pressure
8. Confident and articulate communication style with the ability to confidently influence and manage conflict effectively.
