Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The successful candidate will work as a clinical support worker within an established multi-professional team caring for children and young people with complications of excess weight.
You will be hospital based supporting inpatient care, providing basic education and support for families. You will also support multi professional clinics across Nottingham as well as spoke clinics at Lincoln, Boston, King's Mill and Derby.
You will be responsible for maintaining a variety of databases, completing basic assessments both in the home and clinic environment as well as supporting with a variety of courses for families that are ran by the team.
We are involved in a variety of projects and the successful candidate will also be involved in these projects, both within hospital and wider network.

1. Hold a full UK driving license and has access to a car
Training and Qualifications
Essential criteria
1. NVQ Level 2 in Health
2. Evidence of basic literacy and numeracy
Desirable criteria
1. Evidence of continued personal/professional development
Skills and Knowledge
Essential criteria
1. At least 2 years experience of working with children and young people
Desirable criteria
1. Experience of working within the community setting
2. Evidence of IT competency in Microsoft Office and Excel
Communication and Relationship Skills
Essential criteria
1. Effective written and verbal communication skills
2. Ability to work independently and as part of a team

1. Experience in using hospital databases
