Job Title: Paramedic (Trainee First Contact Practitioner)
Location: Various regions
Hours: 42.5 hours (flexible working considered)
Salary: £50,000 – 38-hour week or £62,500 – 47.5-hour week
Accountable to: Senior Paramedic
Key Working Relationships:
* Patients, relatives, and carers.
* The general public.
* LMS, ACP, and CAS managers

* Clinical and non-clinical staff across the organisation.
* Customers including PCNs, hospital trusts, and ambulance trusts
* External agencies related to patient experience and safeguarding.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
* Assess and triage patients, providing definitive treatment or referrals.
* Advise on general healthcare and promote self-management.
* Perform specialist health checks, interpret ECGs, and collect pathological specimens.
* Support anticipatory care plans and lead community services.
* Maintain accurate health records and document patient care.
* Issue and review medications following guidelines.
* Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions.
* Promote healthy lifestyles and self-care strategies.
Quality Requirements:
* Continuous professional development and self-improvement.
* Work within competence and professional code of conduct.
* Participate in research and quality improvement initiatives.
Administrative Requirements:
* Produce accurate records of patient consultations.
* Adhere to data protection and confidentiality policies.

The postholder will have access to appropriate clinical supervision for advice and support.

Person Specification:
Essential Requirements:
* HCPC registered paramedic with at least five years of post-registration practice.
* Advanced level of clinical practice.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Experience in managing a designated caseload.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Desirable Requirements:
* Pre-reg MSc in an appropriate training programme.
* Non-medical prescribing qualification.
* Experience in a primary care setting.
