Ship Manager (RoPax) - Permanent - UK - Excellent Package This is an exciting opportunity to join an expanding shipping company. The role is a mix of office based, home working & ship visits. Ideally you will live within a reasonable commute from either Dover, N. Wales or Pembroke. You will have responsibility for the efficient and effective operation of assigned ships and to work as a member of the Ship Management Team with high exposure to the owners. Responsibilities include: Plan and coordinate all activities connected with maintenance, repairs, dry-docking, conversion or modification of assigned vessels. Plan and coordinate all activities connected to class and flag state survey and certificate requirements and build and maintain effective liaison with relevant authorities. Assist the project team with modifications, upgrades & projects Monitor vessel performance trends including speed, fuel and lubricating oil consumptions, and implement timely remedial actions where these are outside agreed or expected parameters Provide effective leadership to Chief Engineer Officers Be responsible for Ships Engineering related budgets for assigned vessels Qualifications / Experience Required: Hold Class 1 Chief Engineer Unlimited license Sailed in a senior rank at sea (Chief / 2 nd engineer) Shore based experience as Technical Superintendent or fleet/technical manager (Preferred) Experience sailing / managing passenger ships; RoRo, RoPax, Ferries etc (Preferred) Must have right to work in the UK and hold a full UK drivers license A market leading salary is on offer for the successful candidate To apply, please contact Tom Settle on 02392 322359 or send your CV tsettlenavis-consulting.com Navis Consulting; Keeping your career on course.
