Igloo are recruiting for a Vehicle Diagnostics Technician to work for one of the UK’s fastest growing, independently owned Used Car Supermarket, which has vast experience and knowledge within the industry and a great selection of used cars to suit every need and budget. Our client is focused on keeping customers happy by offering excellent personal service.
The successful candidate will work in a busy preparation centre alongside a variety of specialist teams. The preparation centre processes over 1000 vehicles a month and services 8 stores around the UK.
The Role:
* Carry out routine service works as per given guidelines.
* Provide regular work status updates.
* Ensure all work is carried out observing safe working practices for self and others.
* Check level and quality of work through the use of diagnostic equipment and road-testing vehicles after work has been completed.
* Accurately complete job cards and DISS reports, including any written descriptions of faults found or repairs completed.

* A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to collaborate with team members to overcome challenges and solve problems quickly.
* A huge passion for learning and keeping up with industry innovations to help you perform at your best.
* Effective communication with the production leader to ensure that quality repairs are carried out on all vehicles.
* Strong technical background with experience working as a motor vehicle mechanic in a similar role.
* Ability to carry out repairs efficiently and to a high level of quality.
* Qualified to a minimum of NVQ L3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
* A qualified diagnostic technician, preferably multi-brand.
