We’re looking for an Integrated Support Engineer – Quality and Validation, to control the overall quality and validation of Technical Publications with regard to technical accuracy and specification, for the various outputs produced by the authoring teams. They’ll also maintain records and logs of all quality and validation activities conducted.
This is a fully remote role with possible occasional travel to our office in Yeovil, Somerset.
Job Summary
* Perform planned quality checks for technical, specification and editorial conformity in relation to the contracted and/or industry standards for the Technical information produced by GP Strategies.
* Build a working relationship with all stakeholders within the validation environment.
* Ensure the industry standards and regulatory documentation are aligned to the departmental strategy and processes to ensure the departmental deliverables are to the correct standards and specifications.
Qualifications
* Previous aircraft engineering experience, preferably on Merlin and Wildcat helicopters.
* Previous experience as senior author of aircraft publications.
* Detailed knowledge of air publication specifications e.g. ASD Spec 1000D, ASD Spec 2000M, MilSpec1388 LSAR, DADS, DAvP 70/77, ATA02/90, ATA100, etc.
* Knowledge of technical authoring and production tools e.g. Framemaker, Eagle Publishing System (EPS) and CAPS2000.
* Have the ability to interpret engineering drawings.
* Excellent inter-personal and written communication skills.
* Have ability to work to changing deadlines under pressure.
* Keyboard skills, a working knowledge of computers and computer system applications.
* Highly self-motivated and able to work as part of an integrated team as well as independently.
* A good working knowledge of Simplified Technical English (ASD-STE-100).
Also advantageous would be experience of current MoD / MilEx aircraft systems and publications.
