FBR Recruitment is representing a recognised name in the facades and cladding industry that has secured a number of Government public projects including Data Centres, Train Stations, MOD based projects and long term works including HS2 with projects across England but mainly in the London and Home Counties regions.
Due to continued growth, they are seeking a talented Cladding / Façades Technician / Designer / Design Manager to join their friendly and skilled façade engineering team.
The role;
You will play a crucial role in investigating, assessing, and overseeing the construction of façade and cladding systems. You will work closely with project management and cost management teams, contributing to high-profile façade remediation and replacement projects.
Key Responsibilities;
* Assess the configuration and material composition of external wall systems, identifying insulation types, fire breaks, and compliance risks.
* Provide expert advice on compliance and risk factors associated with external wall systems.
* Collect and analyse site investigation data.
* Monitor construction works, ensuring compliance with contract conditions, best practices, and legislative requirements.
* Perform technical and quality assurance audits, tender reviews, RFIs, and due diligence assessments.
* Prepare high-quality reports and provide technical guidance to project teams.
* Inspect and oversee cladding remediation projects, delivering clear and concise monitoring reports.
Requirements;
* 5+ years of relevant industry experience within a contractor or consultancy.
* 3+ years’ experience in a role involving external wall/façade construction analysis or inspection.
* A degree in Building, Engineering, or a related field (or membership of a relevant professional organisation) not essential.
* Strong technical knowledge of façade systems, fire safety measures, and building regulations.
* Proven experience in reviewing designs, construction documentation, and resolving technical issues.
* Ability to conduct contractor audits, due diligence assessments, and tender reviews.
* Excellent report writing and communication skills.
