Senior Planning Officer
Our client, a Local Authority in the North, are seeking a Senior Planning Officer on a 6-month initial contract. As a Senior Planner, you will be working within the development management team, processing and determining various planning applications. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the planning and development of the region.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Process and determine planning applications, including householder applications, minors, and small majors.
2. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance with planning policies and regulations.
3. Conduct site visits and provide expert advice on planning matters.
4. Prepare written reports and recommendations for planning committees.
5. Contribute to the overall development strategy for the region.
Job Requirements:
6. Experience in development management and town planning.
7. Sound knowledge of planning legislation and regulations.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
9. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
10. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
11. Previous use of uniform and Idox systems would be advantageous.
This will be a 6 month initial contract with potential to extend.
£37-40 per hour.
