Data Centre Controls Biased Engineer Position
Overtime pay is included in the salary of £60,000 to £65,000 (which includes a 15% estimated annual bonus and a 25% shift allowance)

About the Role:
The Data Centre team designs and operates cutting-edge electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and HVAC systems. Facilities Technicians at this data centre operate, monitor, and maintain physical facilities conditions.
Qualifications:
* Electrical or electronic apprenticeship completion or equivalent City & Guilds or BTEC qualifications are ideal
* BMS System House training, such as Honeywell, Trend, or Satchwell, is required
* Industrial control experience, including SCADA and PLC, is necessary
* At least 2 years of hands-on controls maintenance experience in industrial or commercial environments is required
Preferred Experience:
* 2 years of experience in maintaining and repairing control systems, whether commercial BMS or industrial SCADA PLC's
* Critical engineering environment experience, such as data centres, hospitals, pharmaceutical plants, power plants, manufacturing facilities, production lines, heavy industry, or armed forces
* Knowledge of controls associated with electrical systems, low, medium, high voltage, and power backup systems
* Knowledge of close control of temperature and humidity within tight tolerances
* Front-end operation and hardware maintenance and repairs experience, including temperature sensors, humidity statistics, dampers, 3&4 port valves, etc.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Maintenance, operation, and rectification of system faults and breakdowns
* Control of heating, cooling, and humidification to tight tolerances
* Recommendations for system improvements and upgrades
* Monitoring systems, recording, and evaluating M&E systems data and operational costs while improving overall data centre efficiency
* You ensure that environmental and safety standards are consistently met, identifying problems, and making repairs quickly
* In emergency situations or abnormal conditions, you manage data centre performance issues and outages to minimize recovery time from failures
