Our client’s practice sees a mixture of routine and preventative work, as well as interesting medical and surgical cases. They are now seeking a small animal veterinary surgeon to join them on a permanent basis.
They provide first opinion care to small animals and work up cases to the highest standards. The practice itself is extremely well-equipped. You’ll have access to an ultrasound machine suitable for abdominal studies, Digital X-ray, and much more. The main practice is situated on the outskirts of Chester with the smaller branch located nearby. The clinics have excellent travel links to Chester, Manchester, and Liverpool city centre for those that prefer a more urban setting.
The client is keen to support different rotas, shifts, and hours to offer you the work-life balance that you need. They want to make sure that you have time to follow up on cases and spend more time with your patients, so they run 10-minute consultations with protected admin time and breaks. Ideally, they’re looking for a candidate that’s keen to continue to develop their already excellent clinical services; there is also the potential for Clinical Directorship opportunity.
A typical full-time role would involve covering 40 hours per week over 5 weekdays (09:00 – 18:00), along with 1 in 3 Saturday mornings covering consults only (09:00 – 13:00).
They offer a friendly and welcoming team environment, where they fully support each other and enjoy their working days together. The fantastic team is made up of Vet Surgeons, RVNs, SVNs, VCAs, and Receptionists. The vets frequently talk about the incredible support they receive from the nurse and reception teams.
