Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Principal/Associate Electrical Building Services Engineer to lead, inspire, and drive the success of our electrical engineering services team. This pivotal role requires technical expertise, a visionary approach to design, and exceptional leadership to meet the evolving needs of our clients and the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide visionary leadership and mentorship to a team of electrical engineers, contributing to team development and ensuring alignment with company goals.
* Oversee the delivery of complex projects from concept through to completion, ensuring technical accuracy, compliance with industry standards, and adherence to budget and timeline.
* Lead electrical building services design, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, data, and building automation systems, ensuring high standards of sustainability and innovation.
* Act as the primary point of contact for key clients, fostering strong relationships, understanding project needs, and ensuring client satisfaction.
* Maintain rigorous quality control throughout project stages, conducting technical reviews and driving continuous improvement processes.
* Integrate energy-efficient, low-carbon design principles into all aspects of electrical engineering, promoting sustainable solutions that align with modern regulatory standards.
* Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, structural engineers, and contractors, to ensure cohesive, optimised project outcomes.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related field.
* Chartered Engineer status or equivalent is preferred.
* Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in electrical building services engineering, with a proven track record in leadership roles.
* Comprehensive understanding of building services design principles, standards, and regulations.
* Expertise in software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical design tools.
* Strong project management skills, with experience managing large-scale, multidisciplinary projects.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused approach.
