This is a rounded Accounts Assistant role for a company based in Reading, your role will be to support the Finance Manager with all aspects of day to day accounting and some of the month end processes. Client Details This business is based in the centre of Reading, operating on a hybrid basis with 4 days in and 1 day the office. They are a growing manufacturing business based just of J11 turn and have 3 people in Finance, where you will report directly into the Finance Manager. Description The key responsibilities for the Accounts Assistant will be: Process and manage sales and purchase invoices Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations Assist with payroll administration and processing Maintain accurate and detailed customer records Support the preparation of management accounts and month-end duties Handle petty cash and credit card transactions Reconcile supplier statements and manage accounts payable Assist with the preparation of financial reports and budgets Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, correspondence, and scheduling Profile The ideal Accounts Assistant will be someone who is able to commit to an initial temporary position before looking to transition into a permanent role, further down the line, likely within 3-6 months. Ideally you will have exposure to working in an SME finance team where your responsibilities will be varied and you will often cover for other members of staff while on leave.
