Our projects range from £5k to £15m, acting as Principal Contractor and Principal Designer on various schemes, and supporting Tier 1 contractor clients in subcontractor and off-site manufacturing roles.
Role Purpose
The purpose of this role is to support installation teams with fault diagnoses, basic commissioning, panel modifications, and technical queries at site level. It involves communication with various departments and liaising with customers, providing exposure to different areas of the water industry in a challenging environment.
The Role
Contracted to 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Paid hourly, with overtime at an inflated rate during weekends. Travel time is paid door-to-door on top of contracted/overtime hours.
* All power tools and testing instruments are provided.
* Assist with all types of Low Voltage electrical work.
* Basic understanding of mechanical systems.
* NICEIC Testing certification.
* Fault finding/diagnostics without drawings and support.
* Panel/Circuit modifications without drawings and support.
* Commissioning of equipment relevant to the water industry.
* Work with Systems Integrator on commissioning and modifications.
* Navigate HMI/SCADA systems.
* Prepare RAMS, ensuring safe working conditions.
Requirements
Required:
* ECS card
* CCNSG Safety Passport
* Fitness to work medical
* Knowledge of health & safety legislation and company procedures
* Willingness to undertake occupational health and safety training
* Responsibility for self and others
* Ability to work independently and follow instructions
* Testing and inspection certificate
* EUSR
* Knowledge of Ethernet & industrial networks (e.g., Profibus, DeviceNet)
* Understanding of VSD, soft start, star/delta, DOL starters
* PLC & HMI/SCADA (programming not required)
