The world of Digital Health is expanding and evolving. It is high on the priority list in National agendas and locally for us in York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
With support from Frontline Digitalisation, we plan to radically change the Organisation’s digital landscape and implement an entirely new Electronic Patient record (EPR).
We are building a Clinical Digital Change Team which will be pivotal in designing, developing, and implementing the new EPR across the Organisation. This will be an opportunity to transform the quality of care for our patients and revolutionise the working day for our colleagues utilising digital systems.
The Digital Nurse Child Health is an entirely new role that is being created as part of the EPR programme. The aim of the role is to support our strategic priorities and bring energy and passion for delivering results that make a difference to our patients and the care we provide. It is an opportunity to embrace truly unique and transformative working ways and environments.
We are looking for someone with a background as a Registered Children’s Nurse, with recent Child Health experience to join the dynamic Digital and Information Services team. This will be a 12-month post in accordance with the programme schedule. We hope for someone who has clinical process awareness, which will enable them to contribute high quality clinical guidance, supporting the development and delivery of the collaborative EPR programme.
You will be an advocate for clinical staff working within Child Health departments across the organisation, ensuring best practice through the adoption of digital solutions, to enhance patient experience and quality of care. The role will foster clinical engagement and transformation within the programme workstreams and will support patient involvement, system training and education, whilst ensuring clinical safety throughout.
This position serves as a fundamental resource for designing, implementing, and optimising configuration, workflows, and system functionalities. This will help us to improve usability and efficiency of the Trust's clinical systems, tools, and healthcare solutions, supporting the delivery of safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care.
The post holder will supplement the planning and delivery of role-based training and education to optimise the functionality of the EPR and provide ongoing support to clinical staff. They will maintain documentation, promote staff digital engagement, and collaborate with stakeholders to implement digital transformation.
We will provide you with significant personal opportunities to grow and develop, as well as to tangibly impact how care is delivered in the future.
Together we will underpin the care that our staff provide with a robust digital infrastructure, a comprehensive suite of digital solutions and a wealth of new intelligence and insight to inform better decisions for our patients.
