Job overview
To provide comprehensive administrative support to the Dermatology surgery department. This primarily entails all aspects of administration, overseeing the preparation and delivery of daily surgery sessions in the day surgery unit.
This is a fixed term post for 12 months to cover the needs of the service.
Main duties of the job
* Organise and maintain a reception service for the Surgery Day Unit.
* Organise and maintain patient records for their day surgery attendances.
* Booking of surgical appointments and maintaining the service via the digital booking system.
* To answer incoming telephone calls conveying messages appropriately to other team members.
* To continue to develop the service through its digitalisation.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Qualifications
* Good level of education, GCSE/BTec
* NVQ level 3 or equivalent experience
Experience
* Examples of organising/prioritising work load

* Understanding of RTT (referral to treatment) targets

* Experience of using MS Office (Excel spreadsheets, databases)
* Excellent communication skills with patients and co-workers
