Position Overview:
As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, timely repairs. You will play a key role in supporting the Lifetime Service value proposition, ensuring customer satisfaction, and contributing to the company’s success. You will work in a fast-paced, workshop environment while adhering to safety regulations and maintaining the company’s high standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform repairs on equipment in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring high-quality service and customer satisfaction.
* Maximize productivity in Repair Operations while maintaining a focus on quality.
* Contribute to the company’s financial success by controlling COGS, improving processes, and containing costs throughout the repair process.
* Adhere to the worldwide Champion 3C Strategy (Customer, Concentration, Competency) in all aspects of work.
* Maintain superior technical knowledge and skills through continuous professional development, including reviewing repair manuals, schematics, and technical files.
* Diagnose problems, apply corrective measures, and ensure safety through thorough testing after repairs.
* Use hand scanners for receiving, diagnosing, picking parts, and completing repairs.
* Assist in maintaining inventory and improving stock levels to ensure an efficient and high-quality repair process.
* Support communication and rapport-building with customers and sales personnel.
* Participate in Tool Repair Workbench Summits to benchmark repairs, reduce costs, and standardize practices across the repair network.
* Provide feedback to quality and product managers for continuous improvement in tool quality and safety.
* Maintain work areas, tools, and equipment in an organized and safe manner to ensure timely, efficient repairs.
* Follow company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
Work Conditions:
* Workshop environment with exposure to heat, cold, noise, dust, and other particles.
* Required to use hand tools and equipment to disassemble and assemble power tools.
Safety Equipment Required:
* Compliance with all safety regulations, including wearing steel toe boots, safety glasses, safety vests, and other safety equipment as required when working in the facility or operating machinery.
Physical Requirements:
* Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. occasionally.
* Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours daily, performing repetitive reaching, bending, and climbing.
Skills & Qualifications:
* Experience in mechanical or electrical repairs.
* Experience using Windows applications.
* High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience required.
