Position Summary
The team is responsible for the European sales of smartphones, tablets, smartwatches, earbuds, and laptops to all online Pure-Players. Within the Mobile Experience (MX) Division, we are one of the teams looking after sales to pan-European and strategic accounts.
With the challenging global environment for traditional retail sales, the relevance of channels selling online only (pure players) increased massively during the last years for consumers, and purchasing behaviours have been permanently transformed. Our vision is to work with our channel partners to accompany this fundamental change in our industry and develop the best customer journey and experience for our products and services which will deliver unprecedented growth. We are data driven; all decisions we make are based on data analysis and all results are measured against transparent numeric critical metrics.
To achieve this, we work with our local country sales and marketing teams in our European subsidiaries, colleagues in our Suwon Office in Korea, and functional experts (e.g., marketing, legal).
Role and Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities
* Drive at regional level sales initiatives which will deliver the targeted revenue with online channel partners by influencing Head of Online/Retail and key account management teams in Samsung subsidiaries.
* Supported by data analysis, design sales and channel marketing strategy guides for the run-rate and tier1 sale events (Prime Day, Black Friday, etc.) by product categories which will deliver sustainable revenue growth locally.
* Understand and support the regional implementation of digital marketing playbooks from the Digital Commerce Team from Suwon Office.
* Optimise the use of the different data sources available in the company both in the European Office (EO) and in Suwon Office to deliver a synthetic view of the online business performance to all internal stakeholders.
* Influence 3rd party data providers and EO marketing team to secure the most relevant online sales & marketing data.
* Identify online channels reference cases in EU and other regions, including other industries to initiate sales & marketing innovative activities which will increase Samsung differentiation and competitiveness.
* Together with the relevant channel partner counterparts and Samsung subsidiary colleagues, identify operational difficulties and support the definition of Standard Operating Processes (SOP) which will drive measurable improvements by using lessons learned with other partners (Operation Excellence).
* Deliver ad-hoc analysis of sales & marketing data to recommend short-term corrective actions when necessary to our Samsung subsidiaries team members for the different online channels.
* Monitor competition performance, strategy, sales tactics in the region and define sales and marketing counter plans together with local sales and channel marketing account teams.
* In collaboration with Samsung subsidiaries, secure the implementation of Pan-EU Go To Market plans to secure flawless product launch execution with all online channel partners.
What we need for this role
To be successful, you will possess the following skills and attributes:
* Confirmed sales and marketing experience in digital sales with multiple channels.
* Experience in designing channel strategies at regional level.
* Advanced knowledge of digital marketing tools, critical metrics, tactics, and strategies.
* Able to lead projects with cross-functional teams and deliver results.
* Ability to evolve in a multicultural environment and appetite to always learn from others.
* Confidence to collaborate to create efficient working relationships.
* Self-starter with little need for outside motivation, desire to constantly exceed targets and expectations.
* Enjoy creating relationships and interacting with multiple colleagues in other countries.
* Experience in handling several deliverable requests in parallel and in prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
* Ability to work and stay positive under heavy pressure.
* Experience in the consumer electronic industry and Amazon is a plus.
* Sales through Market Place.
* Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint proficiency.
* Diligent and analytical approach.
* Excellent English and general communication skills – both written and spoken.
