Responsible for delivering and continuously improving training programs; coaching to the highest standard, executing training, and developing / enhancing materials as required. The role is essentially to develop and support apprentices to become the very best developers they can be. In the simplest terms we are there to help them at every step.
The person also will operate as a programme specialist in the structure and design of specific apprenticeship programmes and support the head of curriculum to develop the very best in class programme. Be responsible for marking and providing constructive feedback on projects to the apprentice and portfolio of evidence in preparation for EPA.
Main Duties:
* Mentor apprentices in line with Business Analyst programme standards and offer support and guidance from the start of the programme to finish, along with professional skills required for the workplace.
* Actively support apprentices remotely and in the workplace ensuring apprentices follow the agreed programme and schedule.
* To ensure your own skill sets are kept up to date and relevant, attending training courses to further your personal development and knowledge, completing a minimum of 30 hours CPD per annum.
* To create an engaging and productive learning environment for all apprentices
* To focus on how delivering an excellent apprenticeship experience for apprentices and their employers, monitoring progress at the academy and in the workplace.
* Manage the apprentice journey, dealing with any disciplinary and classroom management issues, taking registers and reporting absence.
* Maintain appropriate tracking systems and procedures relating to quality, compliance, management and assessment
* To be committed to Health & Safety awareness inclusive of Safeguarding and Prevent
* Understand and follow all relevant Apprentify Policies and Processes
Requirements
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience of work in a delivering Business Analyst apprenticeships
* Experience of mentoring/coaching in a professional environment
* To hold (or pass) an Enhanced CRB check
* Knowledge of Digital IT standards and requirements.
* Knowledge of Safeguarding, Prevent and E&D.
* Knowledge of apprenticeship standards particularly digital and tech and work-based learning
* Knowledge of the current Ofsted Education Inspection Framework
* Good track record in being part of supporting apprentices to achieve merits/distinctions at EPA
* Pastoral welfare of young people and colleagues
* Outstanding organisational and time management skills
* Ability to work in a flexible manner, adapt to different environments and solve problems independently
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Desirable Skills
* Experience of training and delivery in a Business Analyst environment
* Teaching qualified, or willing to work towards
* Assessor qualified, or willing to work towards
* EPA qualified, or willing to work towards
