Axon Moore have partnered with an international business based in Manchester City Centre looking for an interim Senior Management Accountant to join an established team. You will be responsible for mentoring junior members of staff and ensuring the department meets all required financial requirements on a monthly, quarterly, bi-annual, and annual basis.
Role:
As Senior Management Accountant, you will be responsible for providing accurate and timely management reporting which complies with all internal requirements and regular cashflow forecasting across the regions, analysing actual cash movements against forecast.
You will also be integral in supporting internal stakeholders and working with Regions Finance Business Partners by providing timely, accurate, and insightful information which will assist in decision making and action planning, compiling accurate budgets and forecasts to reflect the strategy and activities. Plus, you will ensure that effective financial control and Balance Sheet control is maintained.
Duties:
1. Financial and management reporting and analysis
2. Production of all management accounts and monthly reporting
3. Ensure compliance with any other regulatory reporting requirements
4. Analyse financial data to identify and resolve any issues and to explain any variances from budget or forecast
5. Ensure that there are adequate and robust financial controls within the financial systems
6. Identify and make recommendations on where system and control improvements can be made
7. Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and reviews monthly
8. Budgeting and forecasting (including cashflow)
9. Support the annual budget and periodic forecast process
10. Produce and manage cash flow forecasts to share with the relevant stakeholders
11. Effective cost control
12. Review financial and management reporting for accuracy
13. Ensure that items are accounted for in a timely and accurate manner
14. Monitor the control environment to flag and resolve issues
Person Specification:
1. Management accountant experience in a growing subsidiary of a large company
2. Experience of the changing environment in a fast-growing company
3. Experience of good processes and practice within a larger company
4. CIMA / ACCA / ACA qualified
5. HFM experience (advantageous)
6. Strong Excel skills
7. Knowledge of IFRS
8. Financial, management & group reporting
9. Balance sheet controls
10. Stakeholder management
11. Large multi-national or European/global company experience
12. Experience within a multi-currency/multi-language environment
