Overview of Role
This is a pivotal role at the heart of the PLC, providing high-level strategic and operational support to the CEO. You will act as a trusted adviser, confidante, and facilitator, ensuring the CEO’s time is optimised for maximum business impact.
This role is more than diary management—it requires commercial acumen, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to navigate complexity. You will work closely with the executive team and board, ensuring seamless coordination of priorities, governance, and strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Executive Support & Operations:
* Proactively manage the CEO’s schedule, ensuring prioritisation of key business matters.
* Prepare briefings, reports, and presentations for meetings with stakeholders, investors, and the board.
* Oversee correspondence, ensuring timely responses and effective delegation where appropriate.
* Drive executive-level meetings, setting agendas, capturing actions, and ensuring follow through.
* Act as the CEO’s representative where necessary, maintaining professional and strategic relationships.
Strategic & Business Support
* Partner with the CEO to execute strategic priorities, tracking progress and managing risks.
* Lead special projects, conducting research, preparing reports, and offering insights on key business initiatives. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration, ensuring alignment across the leadership team.
* Support investor relations, corporate communications, and board-level engagements.
Governance & Leadership Support
* Ensure board and executive governance processes are efficient, preparing reports and coordinating agendas.
* Liaise with senior stakeholders, investors, and external partners to maintain strong corporate relationships.
* Manage confidential and sensitive information with the highest level of discretion.
* Support cultural initiatives, helping to drive mission, values, and ways of working.
About You
* Proven experience in an Executive Assistant, Chief of Staff, or strategic support role, ideally within a PLC, financial services, or technology-driven environment.
* Strong commercial awareness and understanding of corporate governance.
* Outstanding organisational skills with the ability to prioritise multiple demands.
* Exceptional written and verbal communication, with the ability to influence at senior levels.
* Ability to anticipate needs, think critically, and offer problem-solving solutions proactively.
* High emotional intelligence, resilience, and discretion when handling confidential matters.
* Tech-savvy with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and collaboration tools.
* Experience supporting C-suite executives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
* Understanding of financial services, regulatory landscapes, and corporate strategy.
* Exposure to investor relations and board-level engagements.
