The delivery of the Westinghouse UK Fuel Growth Program is essential to the future nuclear fuel products for all current and future reactor types and is a fundamental part of the UK Government’s Nuclear Roadmap and Net Zero 2050 commitment. The portfolio is fundamental to the Westinghouse UK Fuel long-term strategy and essential for the growth of Springfields Fuels site.
We are looking to recruit a new Nuclear Material Accountant (NMA) within the Safeguards team at Springfields.
Duties And Responsibilities
1. Working closely with CMSD, NNL and EURRP personnel (as a minimum)
2. Maintaining NM Accounts
3. Ensuring compliance with the Safeguards regulations
4. Working closely with the ONR in terms of regular reporting, quarterly meetings, audits and assessments etc
5. Carrying out compliance audits and stocktaking across site
Skills And Competencies
6. Be numerate, have great attention to detail, be a problem solver and have a questioning attitude
7. Be organised, a good communicator and a team player
8. Prepare, analyse, consolidate, report, present data / information
9. Work closely with plant and laboratory personnel
10. Interact on a regular basis with the ONR
Full training would be given on-the-job.
Useful experience would include:
