This is an opportunity for an experienced physiotherapist to join our physiotherapy team within the stroke services.
Our Stroke services have had recent investment with the development of an Early Supported Discharge service as well as a new Stroke Rehab Unit in Llandudno.
This role will be rotational between the Stroke Rehabilitation ward in Llandudno or split across ESD and Acute Stroke in Glan Clwyd Hospital.
Main duties of the job
To carry out Physiotherapy assessments and devise individualised therapeutic treatment plans. Work closely with the MDT to support patients following a stroke.
Within this position, there is good support, both clinically and managerially from a Team Leader, Clinical Specialist, and Consultant Therapist.
To ensure a high standard of care for patients, linking in closely with families or carers, multi-agency teams, and other disciplines involved.
To communicate with patients, carers, agencies, and other disciplines in an appropriate manner, often with sensitive information, diagnoses, or outcomes.
To supervise, teach, and appraise peers, physiotherapists, physiotherapy assistants, technical instructors, students, and other members of the multidisciplinary or multi-agency teams.
To train and supervise service users, families or carers, and staff from other disciplines or agencies to carry out programmes of care devised by the therapist.
To deputise and support the Clinical Team Leader as required in the daily management of the designated team.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
