Job Title: Adult Social Worker
Require 2 Adult Social Workers to join their team in either the Adult Social Work or Learning Disabilities team.
The Council will arrange for accommodation costs and travel costs by ferry to and from Orkney at the start and end of the assignment. The council pays for the council tax if the workers have a primary place of residence in Orkney. Workers would typically work onsite on a full-time basis (Monday to Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM) in Orkney.
Responsibilities:
1. Adopt a person-centred, outcome-focused approach to deliver a high standard of flexible and responsive care to service users.
2. Work both individually and as part of a team.
3. Support planning and risk assessing for individuals with disabilities.
Qualifications:
1. Knowledge and experience of support planning and risk assessing in relation to people with disabilities.
2. Commitment to the principles of social inclusion.
3. Experience of key working is an advantage.
